Paris, je t’aime { Day 2 }

Another amazing day spent in Paris!

The day began with a nice walk from the hotel to the Eiffel Tower where we had a little picnic with baguette, some veggies and cold cuts. We then headed over the see Hôtel des Invalides, the Arc-de-Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées.

To take a break from all the walking, we went to Ladurée for some tea and sweets, which I think is an absolute must if you are visiting Paris. The interior design was so lovely you really felt like you were a lady having an afternoon tea! Don’t even get me started on the dessert that I had: to DIE for (‘délices sucrées’ with a hazelnut cake, crunchy praliné, hazelnut mousse and a thin layer of milk chocolate – drooling yet?).

Even though it was quite late in the evening, we walked to Haussman Ave. but unfortunately didn’t make it to Printemps or Galeries Lafayette. On the way back to the hotel, we walked on rue Royale where there are high-end boutiques like Chanel, Gucci and Prada. I would recommend Tronchet street for boutiques with really unique and non-mainstream stuff.

Finally, we stopped at a Japanese restaurant close to our hotel for dinner and it was delicious – salad for starters, sushi for appetizers and 5 meat brochettes with white rice for our main meal.

If you plan on visiting Paris, I really recommend doing a picnic on Champs-de-Mars by the Eiffel Tower. A lot of locals and tourists were doing the same so there was a really fun ambiance! It’s also really feasible and fun to walk around everywhere in Paris because that’s the best way to find quaint little boutiques and cafes.

If you have already been to Paris, let me know if you have any recommendations of places to go!
